That title sounds daunting. Ive been writing a lot lately, but mainly copy for entries in my portfolio; a bit tedious, but something I needed to get done. I have some more work to do on it tonight, but will push it off a bit.

Had a really nice weekend. Went and saw Gentlemen Broncos after I was invited to come along by my friends Jon and Andi. Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords is in it and is really brilliant in it; I wish the whole film had been about his character, but it works really well :)

Thanksgiving I karaoked my heart out. I have been into karaoke/singing in public a lot lately. It makes me happy and its nice to know that a lot of people think I have a not too bad voice :)

This week is going to be busy - I have to start working on a new page for the Derby Dames roller derby league as well as a site redesign for Zia Records among other projects.

Keeping my fingers crossed december will be a rad month and lead into a good 2010 for me :)

maybe its just me, but anytime i see a picture of a tukey with stuffing actually in the turkey it makes me gag.

This is why I could never eat a turducken - duck in a chicken in a turkey, gag.

Ive never been a big fan of the thanksgiving holiday, i think this year is nice though since I get to spend it with some of my really good friends - i used to always kind of envy people who had a really tight clique of friends and tho this year has been tremendously shitty in some respects and awesomely amazing in others, im glad that i really have some friends that i can count on and have been there for me when things have been bad and awesome.

So yes Im looking forward to drinking shitty energy drinks and sliding down stairs in an inflatable mattress, thats gonna be awesomesauce.

Im really into current.tv - especially Vanguard. Its really well done which the shows were longer than 30 minutes most times though.

Had a really fun conversation tonight for over an hour chatting about giant robots, Japan and Japan's obsession with robots. Which reminds me I have a box full of AstroBoy stuff I got sent I need to give away somehow. It included an AstroBoy Wii video game that I'll eventually end up selling or trading for DVDs down the line I am sure.

This Thursday, they are having a Twitter Hunt in Phoenix. I am pretty excited about this. Get to scavenger hunt AND check out some local stores which should be fun.

Excited about catching The Room and Teenage Mother this weekend as well. I love me some Wiseau.

really excited about how my meeting with the people from zia records went. looks like i could be designing their new site and doing a lot of posters and signage for their stores in arizona and in nevada, so keeping my fingers crossed, plus itd be neat to really develop like a cool recurring business relationship with a local business thats geared around stuff I like/am into, so woot!

have another meeting with another client tomorrow at 10 am then gonna start packing up to head off to los angeles for halloween :) fun times ahoy hoy.

watching commentary on venture brothers season 3 - i love how doc hammer tries to explain why they tried so hard to get the sugarcubes to be the song that dr. girlfriend and the monarch first fuck too is because of the sugarcubes dynamic being talented woman paired with talentless man with a flugelhorn who thinks hes the artiste and brains behind the unit. Ahh, poor Einer Orn

Did really good at the IHSFFF - made like $670.00 which wildly exceeded my greatest expectations - especially given my total overhead/costs was 36.00 - and especially with 10 dollar prints and 5 dollar sketches. I can only imagine how much better ill do at Phx Comiccon - which makes me excited.

Im really jazzed for lapsecatholic in potentially getting a wiener doggie. I miss my Fritz all the time now - i havent had a dog forever but i miss having one a lot lately. I like petting pups and doggie hugs.

im trying to increase my visibility as an artist, so im glad my stuff got a good reception.

I like Madeline Zima. She's a great actress, very cute and plays a great smarmy role on Californication.

Like many Showtime Californication actors, she is moonlighting this season on network TV. See Rachel Miner's (Dani California) totally worthless cameo as Meg on Supernatural.

Anyhow, Madeline is getting a lot of press cause of a lesbian kiss on Heroes with Hayden Panetierre - NBC cut a special version of this kiss for use on Hulu and NBC.com

1) wow, how many makeup artists did it take to ugly up Madeline Zima to that from this:




2) Hayden cant act for shit. The initial look seems one of disgust and then frozen soap opera horror

i gave up on heroes a while back, but yeah that was just bad.

Figured out that I got Enigma stuck in my head from watch the outer limits on dvd; episode i had on while i was going to sleep had it during start of one of the episodes. weird how the subconscious works sometimes.

watching Lars Von Trier's ANTICHRIST -- such a weird film thus far; there's a very and sort of disturbing and distinct sense of misogyny here; but Charlotte Gainsborough is really amazing in it.

As an aside I find it somewhat hilarious to see people who serially add hundreds of friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter complaining about not being able to keep up with their close friends on there.

I woke up today with Return to Innocence by Enigma stuck in my head. I seriously cannot remember what I may have been watching that got that stuck in my head - my brain is just a silly place sometimes :p

This week is going to be so busy, I hope I can get all the artwork done that I need to get finished by Thursday, and Im hoping it goes over well at the horror scifi film festival -- keeping the fingvers crossed!

Oh yeah the other day when I was like Oh I need a new Wes Andersen movie now. Um well hello, there IS A NEW WES ANDERSEN MOVIE COMING OUT!

Its called The Fantastic Mr. Fox - and Im super excited to see it:




Oh and THIS is officially the movie I want to see more than anything right now. ANYTHING. Its called THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS. Tell me this is not going to rock harder than anything that is coming out this year.

When I went to go see The Mighty Boosh in L.A. at the Roxy, Naboo spun an awesome DJ set afterward. He played this song by MGMT and I promptly completely forgot the title and the band who did it the next day but had the opening stuck in my head EVERY DAY since then. Tonight, I went to see WHIP IT and the song WAS IN THAT MOVIE. I literally went THAT'S THE SONG! when I heard it, If ever there was a moment of unbridled bliss of late. THIS.WAS.IT. [not to be confused with the unfortunate Michael Jackson movie of the same name]/

I love this song. So so so good



Tonight was just an awesome night, had a great time out, the movie I saw was really great, even Juno girl Ellen Page seemed endearing in it and Ive never found her endearing in anything.

Also picked up new issue of Juxtapoz which has a great interview with Rockin' Jelly Bean all in japanese haha

Tomorrow I get to see ZOMBIELAND and am very psyched about that. Hoping the film isn't shite, if it is c'e la vie, Im in good spirits otherwise ;)

You can pull a lot out of the Hotel Chevalier, I have my own take on it, but the weird thing about the short is you can pull a completely different interpretation based on whether you see it tied to TDL or not, because the key to making it work is knowing the story of Schwartzmann's character. If you know TDL, then he's not on the same footing as Natalie's character. But the important and interesting part of the short just turns on their conversation prior to fucking where its like a revenge fuck scenario in one reading and then it can just be a bizarro reconciliation or maybe just capitulation base don events we dont know. Its good becaus eof the uncertainty tho god if only it were a bit more tense.

The Darjeeling Limited is very underrated, it needs the Hotel Chevalier to make sense though. The Royal Tenenbaums is my favorite I think, followed by Life Aquatic.

been having a really nice vacation so far. i feel like i need to do more exercises with my hand cuz the last few days my hand has been pretty stiff and i dont want to get a repetitive stress disorder, but its all like owey today.

yeah its random. anyhow, up to season 2 of how i met your mother. ted is still my least favorite character, barnet and marshal are probably tied for favorite tho, maybe marshal cuz i could empathize with being outgoing but reserved and the whole law student thing.

Watching How I Met Your Mother - I never really watche dthis show but it is way hilarious. Thta and it has NPH and Willow from Buffy on it, plus Jason Segal.

I saw the Surrogates, it was pretty dope. good stuff.
